Account Manager
Hub is one of the fastest-growing data companies, providing real-world training data to the largest AI and robotics companies. Based in San Francisco and backed by Y Combinator and top VCs, its mission is to advance embodied AGI through real-world data and research.
Responsibilities
As our Account Manager you own Hub's partner network: the clients who buy our data and the vendors who collect it with us. You go to events and meet partners in person, then get back on the laptop, lock in and move every account forward.
- Relationship management across our partner network, clients and vendors, digitally and in person.
- Sales: prospecting, pitching, and taking partners from first call to signed deal.
- LinkedIn and email automation. You build the sequences, your agents run them, you own every reply.
- Contract drafting and review, SoW drafting, price negotiation and upselling.
- Follow-up on everything. Nothing goes cold, and every partner always knows where things stand.
Candidate profile
3+ years of experience in sales, partnerships or account management, including time at a data company. Extroverted and very sociable, and just as happy to sit on the laptop and lock in for a full day of account work. We look for outliers with outstanding achievements and grit.
- Native or fully professional English, spoken and written.
- Great at building human relationships. You work a room, and people take your call the next day.
- Aggressive with follow-ups and updates. Persistence is your default setting.
- Organized CRM. If it isn't in the CRM, it didn't happen.
- AI native. You're good with AI agents and use them every day for outreach, research and follow-ups. You research the field and keep upgrading your setup.
- Big sense of ownership. Your accounts and your numbers are yours.
- Passionate about technology. You follow AI and robotics because you love it, not because the job asks.
- Bonus: you're a Hermes Agent user, or run a similar always-on personal agent.
Tools and working stack
Frontier models, uncapped, and agents that research every partner before you meet them.
- LinkedIn and email automation for outreach at scale, with a human on every reply.
- The CRM as the single source of truth for every client, vendor and deal.
- Your own agent setup, working your accounts while you're at events.
Example missions (illustrative, not agreed targets or budgets)
We need to incentivize all our vendors to collect more gardening data than cleaning data over the next week.
- We need 5,000 skilled workers in Australia recording with specialized hardware within 2 weeks.
- We need to get 3 vendors to invest in a non-exclusive egocentric dataset recorded on our mobile app.
Compensation and work authorization
Employer clarification relayed by Victor on 2026-09-25; the original JD remains the source for role responsibilities and work location.
- USD 3,000 base per month (USD 36,000 annualized) plus sales commission when deals arise from accounts the person manages. Commission structure and quotas will be discussed with candidates. Hub says commission should be based on revenue collected: this is the intended basis, not a finalized contractual formula. Rate, payment timing, quota and OTE remain to be agreed.
- Hub says no existing work authorization is required for Account Manager, Executive Assistant, HR Admin & Accountant or Marketing Manager. This is the employer's stated recruiting policy, not a legal conclusion or a promise of visa sponsorship; it does not change the roles' stated locations or work modes.
- Remote, with travel to events and partner meetings.
- Direct work with the founders. Direct work with top AI labs and our global partner network.
Recruitment process stated in the JD
A short application read by the founders. We open your handles first: your LinkedIn, the accounts you've grown, results you can prove.
- One conversation, then a task from the real work, like the missions above.
- We watch how you approach the problem, how you break it down, what you measure, and how you verify your own work.
- Final conversation, then answer within 48 hours.
The 48-hour answer is a stated process target, not a separately verified service commitment.
Application evidence requested
Send us a short application, in your own words. We want to hear the thing you've done that you're the most proud of, your professional handles (LinkedIn, links, etc), and the story behind your achievements.
