Build the nervous system for AI.
Careers
We're solving problems in physical AI from a device perspective. Innovating at the device level lets us reimagine circuits and software to solve autonomy.

Synapse Semiconductor is the first company to replace the disjoint architecture of a camera and a GPU with one chip: a compute substrate that acts as a sensor. Each pixel captures light and runs neural-network computation in the same device, replacing the need for a GPU while cutting the power and latency of edge vision.
Current cameras can't focus. They capture everything they see and ship all the data to expensive GPU compute. Our chip understands and filters what it sees, sending only relevant information into the machine.
Vision systems are already the core technology for self-driving cars, drones and humanoid robotics. In the future, drones will navigate using vision alone, robots will scout the Moon for the next colony, and satellites will perceive their environment and react in real time. We want to be at the foundation of all of it.

Innovate at the device level
Fabless companies can innovate at the circuit design level with little friction. We go further, imagining novel devices, transistors, compute, sensors and memory systems, and scaling them all the way to a product. In house.
-
Work the hardest domains
The innovation at the smallest scale yields the largest impact. Solving problems in the hardest domains creates results no nation can replicate.
-
Push machines where humans can't go
Like the New World once was, space is the next great frontier to explore. We build for machines that will explore it.

Be constrained only by imagination
New ideas should not be limited by the selection of PDKs a foundry has, or by the current market. Here, ideas are constrained only by the imagination of the future.
