About EigenLayer
EigenLayer is a restaking protocol built on Ethereum, operated by Eigen Labs (formerly Layr Labs), that allows stakers to re-use staked ETH or liquid staking tokens to secure additional off-chain services called Actively Validated Services (AVSs). It acts as a "marketplace for trust" connecting Restakers, Operators, and AVSs, extending Ethereum's cryptoeconomic security to new applications. The company has since expanded under the EigenCloud brand, unifying EigenDA (data availability), EigenCompute (verifiable off-chain compute), and EigenAI (deterministic inference).
