About Sarla Aviation
Sarla Aviation is an Indian aerospace startup headquartered in Bengaluru, founded in October 2023, that develops electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft for urban air mobility. Its flagship aircraft, Shunya, is designed to carry one pilot and up to six passengers or cargo, targeting affordable mass transportation across Indian cities. The company plans to offer flying taxi, air ambulance, and cargo transport services, with commercial operations targeted for 2028–2029.
