Graphcore is a British semiconductor company that designs and develops Intelligence Processing Units (IPUs) — a new class of AI accelerator processor — along with supporting software (Poplar) for machine learning and AI workloads. Its products serve AI researchers and enterprises needing high-performance compute for tasks such as natural language processing, computer vision, and deep learning. Acquired by SoftBank Group in July 2024, Graphcore now operates as part of the SoftBank AI ecosystem.
