About the role
We are looking for an AI Forward Deployed Engineer with 5+ years of experience to sit at the intersection of engineering and customer success at Didero — a fast-growing AI startup putting supply chains on autopilot. You'll work directly with enterprise customers to understand their complex procurement and ERP workflows, then design and build the integrations and backend systems that bring Didero's AI agents to life in production.
What will you be doing?
- Work directly with customers to understand end-to-end procurement, ERP, and operational workflows — then translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Design and build integrations with enterprise systems like NetSuite, SAP, and Microsoft Business Central via APIs and data pipelines.
- Build backend services, workflow automations, and customer-specific solutions using Python/Django.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to identify repeatable patterns that feed back into the core platform.
- Support customer discovery, deployment planning, and occasional on-site technical workshops (~1–2x/month).
Key Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong backend expertise.
- Proficiency in Python and/or Django (or comparable backend technologies).
- Hands-on experience building integrations with external APIs, enterprise software, or data pipelines.
- Experience working directly with customers or cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong systems-thinking mindset — able to question requirements, challenge assumptions, and design scalable architectures in ambiguous environments.
About Didero
Didero is building the autonomous supply chain, starting with agentic supplier management for direct goods procurement.
Global trade has never been more complex or more critical. Procurement teams are underwater, reacting to a flood of challenges — from geopolitical risk to tariffs to supplier disruptions. Didero's AI agents handle 90% of the manual work required to execute mission-critical source-to-pay workflows, saving customers time and money while allowing them to adapt to a rapidly changing world.
The company automates the entire procurement lifecycle: sourcing suppliers, gathering quotes, submitting purchase orders, following up with vendors on delivery and payment — all the steps that traditionally require human intervention at every turn. Didero deploys cutting-edge AI technology into one of the world's most vital domains, serving mid-market to upper mid-market companies with complex physical supply chains.
Funding & Backing
Didero has raised $37M in total funding, including a $30M Series A in February 2026 led by Headline, Chemistry, and M12 (Microsoft's Venture Fund). Their seed round was backed by First Round Capital, Sarah Guo, Jack Altman, Conviction VC, Construct Capital, BoxGroup, and other notable investors across AI, supply chain, and enterprise software.
Team & Culture
Founded in 2023 and headquartered in New York City, Didero is a ~34-person team growing rapidly post-Series A. The engineering culture is generalist by design — there's no strict frontend/backend divide, and engineers own their full stack including deployment infrastructure. The company operates with a "customer first, platform second, product third" philosophy, meaning engineers work directly with customers to solve real problems before abstracting solutions into scalable platforms.
Tech Stack
The team works primarily in Python, TypeScript, and Rust, building integrations with enterprise systems like NetSuite, SAP, and Microsoft Business Central. Engineers use AI coding tools daily and are expected to be AI-native in their approach to problem-solving.
