About the role
Infrastructure Engineer / Systems Administrator
One full-time, hands-on IT role employed by Bajaj Medical LLC and based at the Bajaj location in Chicago, building and managing the Microsoft environment for both Bajaj Medical and AVA. Work closely with the infrastructure lead and lab director on practical setup, support and documentation.
Initial priorities
- Confirm the Microsoft organizational structure and setup dependencies for Bajaj Medical and AVA with the infrastructure lead.
- Build and manage the Microsoft environment for both businesses, including Microsoft 365 administration, user/device setup, identities and access.
- Plan and support the transition from the current Google/Gmail environment where needed.
- Provide day-to-day support, maintenance, troubleshooting and clear documentation.
- Understand lab data-entry, serialization and QR-code workflows; serialization experience is a plus.
- Plan AVA's first-site infrastructure and evaluate eventual CSP support for Microsoft escalation and account recovery.
Longer-term development The roadmap includes Windows Server 2025, identity federation, lab/DSCSA applications, file services if needed, backups, network/VPN access and eventual two-site resilience. Detailed architecture and regulatory validation will be scoped with the infrastructure lead and responsible business owners before implementation.
Who would fit A practical Microsoft 365 / Windows administrator or experienced IT support specialist who has delivered real user, device and office setup work, communicates well with nontechnical colleagues, and documents changes carefully. Hands-on implementation experience is central. Google-to-Microsoft migration, Entra identity, networking and backup experience are helpful. The role offers support from the infrastructure lead and room to learn.
Compensation and benefits $70,000–$80,000 annual base salary, with the opportunity for a merit-based salary increase after three months. Medical insurance and two weeks of PTO.
Working arrangements and interviews Based at Bajaj in Chicago. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM Central Time. Interviews with Arjun Chakroborty, COO, and Bofan Zhou, Vice President; in person preferred, with online interviews possible if necessary.
