About the role
We are looking for a Founding Product Engineer with 1-5 years of experience to own PromptArmor's customer-facing product from start to finish. You'll be the first engineer working only on the product that companies like Meta, John Deere, State Farm and the Golden State Warriors use to assess and monitor their AI risk. We want a strong engineer with real product intuition, clear communication and a high sense of ownership, someone who cares about the customer's problem and wants to build for the largest enterprises in the world. You don't need any background in AI security, just a real interest in learning a new domain. Founders, founding engineers and people who have built user-facing side projects will do well here.
What will you be doing?
- Making the platform easy to use for every team inside our enterprise customers, beyond the few workflows and industries it supports today
- Building new product experiences on top of PromptArmor's AI risk data for specific use cases and team workflows we don't support yet
- Improving existing features and the UI from start to finish, across Python, Postgres and React
- Studying customer data and feedback to find gaps in the product and decide what to build next, work a PM might traditionally do
- Working closely with the engineering and sales teams, and meeting customers when it makes sense
About Promptarmor
PromptArmor is an AI risk platform that helps enterprises in the most security-sensitive industries adopt AI without stalling on security review. It assesses the risk of every AI vendor or tool a company is buying or building, tells them which controls to put in place, and keeps monitoring those vendors as they change. Customers include Fortune 50 companies, trillion-dollar model labs, and a large share of the world's biggest law firms.
The team is 12 people building in-person in San Francisco, founded by two UC Berkeley alumni — a CTO who worked on security and infrastructure at Roblox and Google and previously sold a startup, and a CEO who shipped the first AI product at a 250-person Series B. Engineers own products end to end and talk to customers directly
