Electronics/RF Lab Technician

Responsibilities Assembly & Rework Perform precise microsoldering of components and fine-pitch ICs, leveraging microscopy as needed. Assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) and full system prototypes from schematics, bills of materials, and work instructions. Build, inspect, and install cable and wire harness assemblies to engineering specifications. Testing & Validation Operate a range of lab test equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes, spectrum/network analyzers, environmental chambers, antenna systems). Execute functional test scripts and data collection procedures as directed by engineers. Troubleshoot hardware failures, perform root-cause analysis, and document test results. Support system-level bring-up and validation of integrated sensor prototypes. Lab Organization & Inventory Manage the intake, tracking, and organization of boards and parts moving between the company, contract manufacturers, and assembly houses. Maintain inventory of electronic components, assemblies, and test equipment; flag shortages and manage reorders. Keep workspaces, tools, and documentation well-organized and up-to-date. Process & Support Support process updates, documentation, and continuous improvements in build and test procedures. Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and software teams to ensure prototypes and test setups are executed to spec. Requirements (must have) Associate’s degree or technical diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience). Demonstrated laboratory experience performing electronics assembly, microsoldering (down to 0402 or finer), and board-level troubleshooting. Familiarity with reading schematics, assembly drawings, and work instructions. Comfort with standard lab measurement tools and both automated and manual test setups. Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills. Meticulous attention to detail, safety, and workmanship standards. Self-motivated, adaptable, and collaborative mindset. nice to have) Experience with RF assemblies, high-speed digital circuits, or sensor systems. Prior work in a startup or fast-paced R&D environment.
