Senior Manager, Customer Lifecycle Marketing

Sydney, NSW

About the role

Why join us?

Mitti by SafetyCulture is a global tech company, just not the kind you're picturing. Our almost 1,000-person team builds tools that make work better for the three billion frontline workers who keep the world moving. We've got big tech scale, without the sign-off layers or corporate theatre. This next chapter is about scaling smart, powered by AI, a clear vision and real ownership.

Big tech impact, without the big tech ick.

This role exists to grow revenue from Mitti's free and paid self-serve customers by owning the lifecycle from sign-up through activation, conversion, expansion and retention. You will lead a lifecycle marketing team and partner with the Head of Marketing Operations to build the growth engine that helps Mitti scale globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the lifecycle marketing strategy and performance for the free and paid self-serve portfolio, with accountability for revenue growth, activation, expansion and retention.

  • Design and deliver a customer lifecycle programme that engages free and paid customers at every stage of their journey, and lifts activation and free-to-paid conversion.

  • Reduce churn and contraction risk by analysing performance metrics (including conversion rates and Gross Dollar Retention) and turning them into prioritised growth and retention initiatives.

  • Lead, coach and grow a team of lifecycle marketers, building a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.

  • Deliver personalised, relevant and well-timed messaging across channels through customer segmentation.

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Design and other Marketing teams so customers get one connected experience.

  • Report on campaign and programme performance to senior leadership, with clear insights and recommendations rather than numbers alone.

Required Skills & Experience:

Technical Skills

  • Proven track record of designing and running lifecycle, retention or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) marketing strategies that delivered measurable revenue impact in a high-growth, product-led or self-serve environment.

  • Experience leading, coaching and developing a marketing team through a period of scale.

  • Strong analytical ability: can interpret funnel, cohort and retention data and use it to decide what to build, test or stop.

  • Working knowledge of marketing database architecture and data best practices.

  • Hands-on capability with marketing automation and engagement platforms (for example Customer.io and Segment CDP) to deploy multi-channel campaigns, and with analytics tools (for example Hex and Amplitude).

  • Able to manage several projects at once, balance competing priorities and keep work moving with little supervision.

Behavioural Skills

  • Navigates ambiguity: breaks an open-ended growth problem into testable hypotheses without waiting for a perfect brief.

  • Driven to achieve results and bold: runs experiments quickly, learns from the ones that fail, and moves on low-risk decisions without waiting for permission.

  • Better as a team: shares what they learn, builds trust with Product and Data teams, and invests in the success of their own team.

  • Think Customer: starts from customer behaviour and needs, and makes decisions on customer impact rather than campaign volume.

  • Receptive to feedback: gives and takes direct feedback with kindness and uses it to improve.

AI Skills

  • Uses AI day to day to draft and iterate lifecycle content, analyse campaign and cohort data, and surface segmentation and personalisation ideas.

  • Can critically evaluate AI-generated output for accuracy, brand voice and customer fit, and sets clear expectations for how the team uses AI responsibly.
