Software Development Engineer in Test

responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Own the quality strategy for key Cloud Security features and services across functional, integration, and end-to-end test coverage.</li> <li>Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and test infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on API and service-level validation for distributed, high-throughput systems (and UI validation where applicable).</li> <li>Build testing approaches that validate the accuracy of our detection and policy engines — guarding against false positives and false negatives in the security findings we surface to customers.</li> <li>Design and run performance, scale, and resilience tests for services that evaluate hundreds of thousands of cloud resources and objects across multiple regions and providers.</li> <li>Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA / automation engineers to define test plans early and improve release confidence.</li> <li>Develop, execute, and continuously improve automated test suites for new and existing functionality, while analyzing failures, reporting issues clearly, and driving resolution with engineering.</li> <li>Own validation from feature design through release, including test planning, execution, triage, and sign-off.</li> <li>Raise the bar on product quality by identifying gaps in testability, observability, reliability, and release readiness.</li> <li>Extend quality coverage into Cloud and On-Prem Data Storage Protection, validating data discovery, classification, and exposure detection across cloud object stores, managed databases, and on-prem file systems and storage repositories.</li> <li>Drive better quality processes, dashboards, reporting, and CI signals for faster and safer releases.</li> </ul> <h3>What skills and experience should you bring</h3> <p>Ideal candidates will have:</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in test automation / automation development.</li> <li>Strong product thinking with the ability to translate product behavior and customer workflows into effective test strategy</li> <li>Strong hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Python, and TypeScript</li> <li>Strong experience building robust test automation for complex systems, aligned with the current JD’s focus on complex system-level testing.</li> <li>Experience debugging issues deeply and working closely with developers to drive fixes.</li> <li>Strong experience with Jenkins-based CI pipelines and test execution workflows</li> <li>Experience with Allure or similar test reporting / insights platforms</li> <li>Solid understanding of automation architecture, test design, and maintainable framework development</li> <li>Strong problem-solving, ownership, and self-management skills; proactive, collaborative, and able to operate with high independence.</li> </ul> <p>
