Kombo (YC S22) builds the infrastructure layer for hire-to-retire employee data. We power recruitment platforms, benefits providers, and spend management tools by giving them reliable access to candidate and employee data across any HRIS, LMS, ATS, or payroll system their customers use.
We're looking for Kombo's first Field Marketing Manager to turn conferences, events, executive dinners, and webinars into a repeatable pipeline engine.
This is a foundational role. You'll own events at Kombo end-to-end—from strategy to execution—and work directly with the CEO, CRO, Head of Growth, and cross-functional teams to make Kombo visible, credible, and trusted in our core markets.
If you've ever wanted to build an event motion from scratch at a high-growth company with room to scale into leadership, this is that role.
Kombo is building the infrastructure layer for all people data. We’re a unified API for HR, payroll, LMS, and recruiting systems. Instead of integrating separately with dozens of platforms, companies integrate once with Kombo to access data from over 100 systems. We abstract away differences in data models, authentication, and API behavior.
Since going through Y Combinator in 2022, we:
Grew from 0 → $10M+ ARR (top ~5% growth-wise of VC-backed startups)
Scaled to 60+ team members across NYC 🇺🇸 and Berlin 🇩🇪
Raised $30M+ from Y Combinator, Acadian Ventures, 486 and other investors
Kombo is international by default. We sell globally, operate across regions, and build with a team representing .
As Kombo's first Field Marketing Manager, you will lead our most important channel as we go up-market. You will own events strategy as a core GTM lever, tightly aligned with Sales, Business Development, and Product.
This role sits at the intersection of pipeline generation, brand, and relationships. You'll design experiences that create demand, accelerate deals, and strengthen Kombo's position as the go-to infrastructure partner in HR Tech.
You'll start hands-on and execution-heavy, with clear scope to grow into a lead role as our network-based GTM and events become a foundational pillar of our GTM motion.
This role is perfect for you if you love owning events strategy and execution end to end, are a natural community-builder, and have excellent attention to detail. You'll build the field marketing playbook from zero and turn it into a predictable pipeline contributor. If you thrive with full ownership and love bringing people together, you’ll enjoy working here.
Own all events at Kombo end to end, including:
Plan events with leadership and own execution end-to-end
Identify the highest-impact places to reach our ICP and create a repeatable playbook for how we show up (format, setup, booth design, follow-up)
Translate revenue targets and the product roadmap into a cohesive go-to-market plan, including conferences and events
Build and maintain our motion for in-person touch points selling ENT at scale
Continuously improve how we plan and execute events as volume increases
Event-sourced and event-influenced pipeline (north star)
Attendance quality (ICP fit, seniority, intent)
Bird-eye view of key events, execution excellence, and on-time delivery
Repeatability and scalability of successful event formats
Strong project manager who can run multiple initiatives in parallel with high standards
High ownership, high standards, and strong judgment
1–5 years of experience in field marketing or demand generation at a B2B SaaS company
Commercial mindset with clear understanding of sales cycles and buyer journeys
Hands-on executor who enjoys being close to the work and traveling regularly
Curiosity and empathy to understand our buyer persona deeply (technical C-level execs) and design events backward from it
Nice to haves but not a must:
Proven track record of driving measurable pipeline through events
Experience marketing to technical or infrastructure buyers (CTOs, VPs of Engineering, Heads of Product)

An ambitious growth path
