Replicas lets you manage background coding agents - swarms of frontier coding agents like Claude Code or Codex working in their own sandboxes. With their own customizable environments, they can iterate and work on any engineering task and deliver PRs.
Replicas comes from the vision proposed by AI 2027, whereby so much of humanity’s day-to-day work will be done by these fleets of AI agents, each equipped with the tools to complete tasks for anything from deep research to software engineering. Our mission is to build the infrastructure and tooling to control these background agents.

Replicas is a background coding agent that allows you to delegate tasks to Claude Code or Codex from Slack, Linear, GitHub, and more. Each task works inside of a sandboxed virtual machine, allowing teams to heavily parallelize work and burn through tickets.
Replicas agents output higher quality PRs via feedback loops - each task automatically is notified and fixes CI failures and reads all code reviews. With Environments, engineering teams can configure agents to run their entire codebase locally, verify its work, and provide preview URLs.
