Staff Product Designer

About the role

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Product Designer based in the United States.

We are looking for an accomplished Staff Product Designer to shape end-to-end member experiences for an innovative digital healthcare platform focused on improving metabolic health. In this strategic role, you will lead the design of seamless enrollment journeys that help people understand, access, and adopt personalized healthcare programs. You will combine exceptional visual design with sophisticated service design, connecting digital experiences with real-world interactions such as receiving health devices, setting up sensors, and scheduling virtual clinical appointments. Working across product, marketing, engineering, logistics, and clinical operations, you will transform complex workflows into intuitive, engaging, and trustworthy experiences. Your research-driven approach will help identify diverse member needs, reduce enrollment friction, and improve program adoption. This is an opportunity to influence product strategy, establish cohesive omnichannel experiences, and make a meaningful contribution to the future of personalized healthcare.

Accountabilities:

  • Define user personas and value propositions: Conduct and synthesize user research to identify distinct member personas, understand their motivations and barriers, and develop compelling value propositions tailored to their needs.

  • Design end-to-end enrollment journeys: Lead the creation of persona-driven enrollment experiences across multiple programs, guiding prospective members from initial discovery through registration and active participation.

  • Own comprehensive service design: Connect digital and physical touchpoints into cohesive experiences, including health kit shipment tracking, package unboxing, hardware and sensor setup, and initial virtual appointments with the clinical care team.

  • Deliver high-quality visual design: Create polished, engaging websites, landing pages, enrollment interfaces, and supporting assets that communicate program value clearly and build member trust.

  • Balance quality with speed: Maintain high visual and interaction standards while working efficiently in a fast-paced product environment.

  • Collaborate across disciplines: Partner with marketing, hardware, logistics, clinical operations, product, and engineering teams to ensure digital experiences reflect operational realities and technical capabilities.

  • Influence product direction: Champion user-centered design principles, communicate research-backed recommendations, and align cross-functional stakeholders around a shared vision for onboarding and enrollment.

  • Optimize adoption and conversion: Identify friction points across member journeys and develop design solutions that improve enrollment completion, reduce drop-off, and encourage sustained engagement.

  • Bridge digital and physical experiences: Account for platform constraints, hardware integrations, shipping workflows, appointment scheduling, and other real-world interactions when designing complete service journeys.

  • Develop persuasive product communication: Create clear, engaging user interface copy and present design concepts and decisions effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Support broader design initiatives: Contribute to additional projects and responsibilities as needed to advance product quality and member experience.

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of experience in UX or product design, supported by a portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual craft and sophisticated service design.

  • A strong portfolio showcasing premium consumer-facing or marketing-led design, complex journey mapping, and the integration of digital and physical experiences.

  • Proven experience conducting user research, developing actionable personas, and translating insights into effective product strategies and high-converting user journeys.

  • Experience designing complex consumer enrollment flows, digital healthcare experiences, premium e-commerce journeys, or comparable customer onboarding experiences.

  • Deep understanding of responsive web and native mobile design patterns, including the ability to create consistent experiences across platforms.

  • Ability to design for real-world actions and connected experiences, such as Bluetooth sensor pairing, device setup, shipment tracking, and appointment scheduling.

  • Familiarity with hardware-software integrations, logistical workflows, or other complex service ecosystems is a strong advantage.

  • Strong understanding of how design influences user adoption, trust, engagement, conversion, and habit formation.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including the ability to present concepts, explain complex design decisions, and create persuasive interface copy for different audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and influence cross-functional teams without relying on formal authority.

  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on design execution.

  • A bachelor's degree in design, service design, human-computer interaction, or a related field.

  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without requiring employment sponsorship.

Benefits:

  • Competitive annual salary: $190,000–$210,000.

  • Equity participation: Opportunity to participate in the company's equity program.

  • Remote flexibility: Work remotely from within the United States as part of a distributed, global team.

  • Healthcare coverage: Employer-sponsored medical, dental, and vision insurance, with 100% coverage for employees and 80% coverage for eligible family members.

  • Health savings options: Access to Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options.

  • Retirement savings: 401(k) retirement savings plan.

  • Paid time off: Unlimited vacation, subject to manager approval.

  • Paid parental leave: 16 weeks of fully paid leave for birthing parents and 8 weeks of fully paid leave for non-birthing parents.

  • Collaborative environment: Work alongside experienced professionals across healthcare, technology, design, and clinical disciplines.

  • Meaningful impact: Help advance personalized healthcare experiences and improve how people access and engage with metabolic health programs.
