Technical Product Manager, Platform

New York, United States
Full-time

About the role

We're looking for an experienced Technical Product Manager to join the talented and ambitious folks on Yogi's Platform Engineering team. You will report directly to our co-founder and CTO, owning the creation of new workflows that are critical for the success of Yogi. You'll be part of a high-performing, fast-moving team with direct, hands-on impact to customers as they onboard onto our platform and as the product expands into new dataspaces and capabilities.

We're looking for someone with a specific combination of skills: workflow design, systems thinking, data modelling intuition, willingness to do grunt work when needed, and engineering leadership. As a Technical Product Manager, you'll streamline workflows to deliver value to customers fast, enable the product and company to scale as we onboard new customers and offer new capabilities, ensure teams are equipped to support customers for long-term success, and create solutions to ambiguous problems. You'll also create clear, reusable resources (guides, playbooks, and tools) that steer company operations. You'll work cross-functionally with Customer Success and Sales to accelerate deals and shape how Yogi supports customers as we grow. On this team, you would work out of our office in downtown New York City at least 4 days per week.

What You Will Do

  • Invent new workflows and streamline processes through scalable platform capabilities and knowledge bases to deliver high-quality value to customers, fast
  • Lead engineers toward product releases as we build new data integrations, data models, dashboard configurations, and data integrity flows
  • Carry out hands-on implementation of new capabilities as we launch with customers and train our Implementation team for go-live
  • Code small to medium features with AI tools
  • Provide technical support to Customer Success and Sales to accelerate implementations and resolve issues quickly.

About the engineering team

Yogi's engineering team has about 8 people and works out of the office in downtown New York City. A few engineers are based elsewhere right now, but the company is bringing the team together in New York. Engineers work in the office at least 4 days a week.

The team is split into two groups:

  • Platform Engineering is led by Chad Becker, Yogi's co-founder and CTO. This team works mostly on the backend: data pipelines, data modeling, data integrations, agentic workflows with LLMs at the center, and internal data tools that live inside the product.
  • Product Engineering is led by Derrick Blakely. It includes full-stack engineers, a front-end specialist and two AI-focused engineers. They work directly with Yogi's product manager and designer.

Yogi is also hiring a second engineer and a platform product manager, so the team is growing.

How the team works:

  • No micromanagement: Senior engineers own whole capabilities, from data models and pipelines to APIs, UI, infrastructure and observability. They're expected to take charge and drive their work without hand-holding.
  • AI-forward: Engineers use AI tools in their daily work. They look into new models beyond OpenAI and Claude and pick the right one for the problem.
  • Works across the company: Engineers work closely with product, design, Sales and Customer Success. That helps them understand what customers need, speed up implementations and fix issues quickly.
  • Learns from experience: The team values engineers who've seen how other teams solve hard problems, such as avoiding data modeling mistakes, and who bring those lessons with them.

Across the company, people say on every team survey that one of their favorite things about Yogi is the people.

About Yogi

At Yogi, we help some of the most recognizable brands in the world create better products and user experiences by providing deep insight into customer feedback via Yogi’s Voice of Customer “AI Analyst”.

Our customers span industries such as consumer electronics (Microsoft), food and beverage (Nestle), personal care (Colgate), pet care (Purina), and more. Each one leverages the unique competitive intelligence surfaced by Yogi to make high-impact decisions that drive real business results.

We aggregate and analyze millions of consumer feedback records from product reviews, social conversations, consumer care data, and more - powered by Generative AI and agentic workflows.
