About the role
Y/n is an app to create and play interactive stories. You can play a boarding school transfer student, or figure out a jailbreak with Sherlock Holmes, and your choices change the story and how characters feel about you.
Y/n is a hit consumer product: users sent nearly 500M messages last month, spend almost 4 hours a day in the app on average, and we're already one of the top books apps in the world (we hit #4 in the App Store). Our mission is to train the world's most entertaining AIs, and we're still a very small team.
We're looking for a Head of Growth to take us to #1.
What you'll do:
- Lead our marketing end to end
- Shoot videos yourself or coordinate shoots
- Scale paid ads
- Partner with and manage content creators
- Find creative, unexpected ways to grow, and keep it simple when simple works
What we're looking for:
- You've grown a TikTok or Instagram account to more than 10k followers
- You get fandom and read romance or fanfiction, or you just really want to win over consumers
- You're organized and can manage creators
- Above all, you know how to win
- New grads are welcome

Operated by legal entity Emittance Inc., the company participated in Y Combinator's Summer 2023 batch and has grown to 100K+ daily active users averaging 3+ hours per day. The company describes its mission as building 'the entertainment machine' — the most engaging consumer entertainment product in the world.
