We're hiring a talented founding designer to help us design the future of coding with AI.
What you’ll do
- Design frontier devtools across the stack: cmux macOS, cmux TUI, cmux Windows/Linux, cmux iOS, cmux Cloud, cmux.com, chatmux, and more
- Help design the most useful product for developers to do work with AI
- Own the look, feel, and interaction model end to end, including user feedback loops
- Dogfood, prototype, and ship constantly
Who we're looking for
No hard requirements. We want talented designers from any background.
Things that make us extra excited:
- You are a walking encyclopedia of design components from all sorts of apps
- People come to you for design references all of the time
- Obsessive taste for native macOS apps and developer tools
- You prototype in code and ship real UI
- Typography, motion, and systems thinking; you care about the 1px details, padding, etc

- Compensation: 130k - 170k + 0.5% - 1.5% equity
