Founding Account Executive
About the role
About Nudge
Nudge is an agentic commerce platform helping consumer brands win discovery inside AI platforms and turn shopper intent into revenue.
We launched earlier this year and are growing incredibly fast, already working with consumer brands like L'Oréal, Mosh, and Olukai. We're backed by global investors including s16, Antler, and the founders of Datadog, Miro, and Postman.
The Role
As a Founding Account Executive, you'll own the full sales cycle, from sourcing your own pipeline to closing deals. You'll work directly with the founders and run every demo with category authority.
The first phase of this role is about understanding the product, getting close to our customers, and closing. We don't expect you to come in and build a playbook on day one. You'll go deep on the product and customers quickly, then get out there and sell.
As the motion proves out, you'll help shape the playbook, positioning, and outbound engine that the team we build after you will operate against.
What You'll Do
- Own the full sales cycle, from first conversation through closed-won, selling to consumer brands across the US
- Source the majority of your own pipeline through cold outreach, warm introductions, network-driven selling, events, and other creative channels, alongside inbound demand generated by marketing
- Run discovery, demos, technical deep-dives, and procurement conversations with marketing leaders, ecommerce heads, and growth teams at consumer brands
- Build and refine outbound sequences, ICP targeting, messaging, and competitive positioning
- Own renewals, upsells, and expansion across the accounts you close
- Partner closely with the founding team on product feedback, pricing experimentation, and customer expansion strategy
- Help shape the revenue organization as we grow, from how we sell to who we hire next
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of closing experience, with at least three consecutive years of hitting or exceeding quota
- You know your numbers - quota, attainment, ACV, sales cycle, and self-sourced pipeline percentage by role
- Direct experience selling to commerce, DTC, Shopify ecosystem, or marketing teams at consumer brands
- Experience at companies like Klaviyo, Yotpo, Attentive, Postscript, Rebuy, Gorgias, Loop, Shopify, or similar companies is particularly relevant
- A strong track record of generating your own pipeline, with 50%+ of pipeline coming from outbound and network-driven activity
- Hands-on full-cycle sales experience. You've sold without an SDR, Sales Engineer, or dedicated CS team supporting you and enjoy owning the entire process
- A builder mindset. You've operated in early-stage environments where the playbook didn't exist yet and helped build it
- AI-native. You've built workflows or agents to improve your own prospecting and productivity, and can speak credibly about how AI is changing commerce
- Genuine interest in agentic commerce and the shift toward AI-driven discovery and conversion. You should be able to explain why this category matters without needing us to convince you
How You'll Be Measured
- New ARR closed
- Self-generated pipeline
- Sales cycle velocity
- Close rate
