About The Role
As an AI/ML Engineer at Brain Co., you will play a crucial role in deploying state-of-the-art models to automate various real world problems in sectors such as healthcare, government and energy. Part of the role will involve turning research breakthroughs into practical solutions for various nation states. This role is your opportunity to make a significant impact by making AI technology both accessible and influential.
In This Role, You Will:
Brain Co. is an AI-native platform company on a mission to rebuild how the world works — making large, regulated institutions work better for the people they serve.
The company builds bespoke AI operating systems tailored to specific industries, powered by Atlas, their proprietary platform that is model-agnostic, sovereignty-ready, and built security-first from day one to serve highly regulated environments. Current verticals include government, insurance, healthcare, and financial services, with customers spanning Fortune 100 enterprises and nation states. Brain Co. has raised $55M at a $500M+ valuation (Series A) — backed by investors including Elad Gil — and has scaled to roughly 150 people, with ~90% of the team in engineering.
The team is built from elite backgrounds at Palantir, Google, Meta, Nvidia, Tesla, and DeepMind, and operates with a fast-paced, high-ownership culture that prizes zero-to-one product thinking, experimentation, and shipping to production. Unlike consulting-heavy FTE models (e.g., Palantir), Brain Co. engineers are not on-site five days a week with clients — the expectation is roughly once a quarter on-site, keeping the focus on building. Every project ships to production and is expected to create measurable, real-world impact at national scale. The company is now entering its next phase of production deployments, making this a pivotal moment to join and shape both the company and an entirely new category of applied AI.
