Chief of Staff

We are looking for a Chief of Staff with 2-4 years of operating experience to join as the first internal operations hire at a rapidly scaling AI company ($40M+ run rate, on track to $100M+ by Q3). You'll work directly with the CEO and CTO to drive the company's highest-priority strategic initiatives — from scaling the team from 8 to 25 people, to owning company financials, to leading new customer and vertical expansions.

What will you be doing?

• Owning and driving the hiring process as the company scales from ~8 to 20-25 people over the next 6-8 months

• Managing company financials, P&L, costs, margins, and running weekly syncs on business performance

• Leading high-leverage strategic projects (new customer expansions, new vertical launches, research initiatives) as they emerge week to week

• Building internal operational systems and processes from scratch — you're the first person in this function

• Working cross-functionally across engineering, research, and customer-facing teams to unblock priorities

Key Requirements

• 2-4 years of operating experience — ideally at an early-stage startup or in management consulting (McKinsey, Bain, BCG)

• Strong generalist problem solver with extreme ownership — can take ambiguous problems and drive them to completion autonomously

• Comfortable using coding agents and AI tools to solve problems (excitement matters more than prior experience)

• No short tenures — 1-year stints are a dealbreaker; must demonstrate staying power and commitment

• Must be full-time in-person in San Francisco (relocation support available)
