We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer, Tech Lead&nbsp;to join our Engineering&nbsp;team. The Senior Software Engineer, Tech Lead is responsible for leading software engineering teams to successfully develop and implement features, troubleshoot technical challenges, and manage product releases. This role involves planning large tasks, delegating work effectively, and ensuring high code quality through rigorous pull request reviews. The Tech Lead is accountable for delivering complex, production-ready features to QA, addressing roadblocks with persistence, and collaborating with team members to solve problems. With expertise in at least one coding area (backend, frontend, or devops), they ensure alignment with industry standards and promote a big-picture understanding of business challenges. This role also mentors junior engineers, supports hiring and training, and drives continuous improvements in code quality, system health, and QA practices. The Tech Lead fosters transparency within

the team, communicates technical decisions clearly, and works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and successful completion of projects. requirements issues to stakeholders in a timely manner.</li> </ul> </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-style: italic;">Performs other related duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li> </ul> About You&nbsp; <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">6+ years of professional experience working in both react and node.js</li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">5+ years of professional experience in software development.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">3+ years of experience supporting teams or collaborating with subject matter experts, with a focus on contributing to team success and learning from leadership.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Strong technical expertise and understanding of industry trends, with the ability to provide insights and assistance to

Compensation At Talkspace, we believe that pay transparency during the interview process is a critical part of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our salary bands are based on internal and external

compensation benchmarks, which we regularly evaluate to ensure we pay competitively. The base salary range for this role is between $175,000 - $215,000. About Talkspace

Talkspace provides an online platform that delivers mental health services through digital communication with licensed therapists and psychiatric providers. The platform connects individuals with mental health professionals who offer therapy and psychiatric care through text messaging, audio messaging, live chat, and video sessions within a secure web or mobile interface. Users complete an intake process and are matched with licensed clinicians who provide counseling and treatment for conditions such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and relationship issues. The service includes therapy programs for individuals, couples, and teenagers, along with psychiatric evaluations and medication management delivered by licensed medical providers. Patients communicate with clinicians asynchronously through messaging or participate in scheduled real-time video or audio sessions depending on the selected service plan. These interactions take place in encrypted therapy rooms that allow users to share messages, voice notes, or video recordings with their providers.

Talkspace also develops digital tools that support mental health care delivery, including self-guided resources and technology used to analyze anonymized therapy data to assist clinicians and identify risk patterns. The platform collaborates with health plans, employers, and public programs that provide access to virtual therapy as part of insurance benefits or employee assistance programs. Through its digital infrastructure, Talkspace functions as a telehealth service provider that enables remote psychotherapy, psychiatric care, and mental health support using licensed clinicians and online communication tools.
