About the Role:
This Senior Product Manager is a highly strategic role that will shape the future of Fleet Management and Internal Tooling across the Skydio Cloud platform. You’ll lead both the customer-facing fleet management software that powers our customers’ drone operations, along with the internal systems that make exceptional customer experiences possible. You’ll transform fragmented workflows, telemetry, service data, and real-world field challenges into a cohesive platform vision—and rally teams across Cloud, UX, hardware, firmware, operations, support, and go-to-market to bring it to life, from early discovery through launch and adoption.
Location:
This position is based onsite 5 days/week at our HQ in San Mateo, CA. We offer relocation assistance if needed.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
Own and evolve the roadmap for Fleet Management and Internal Tooling, spanning device inventory and health, pilot and organization administration, troubleshooting, support, service, and repair workflows.
Define the end-to-end dock service experience from issue detection and remote diagnosis through dispatch, parts, repair, verification, and closure, with a focus on reducing mean time to repair and repeat visits.
Drive feature definition and prioritization in close collaboration with design, engineering, and go-to-market teams.
Prototype and validate intuitive workflows that abstract away complexity for our customers.
Engage with customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders to understand core business problems to develop and iterate user personas and their use case-specific requirements.
Communicate plans and progress clearly across stakeholders; follow through to launch and adoption.
Collaborate with marketing, support, and customer success to deliver impactful product releases.
What makes you a good fit:
6+ years defining and delivering market-leading software products, including experience leading the development of software for fleet, logistics, mobility, or other operationally complex environments.
Experience wireframing and collaborating closely with UX design.
AI-forward mindset, with proven experience using AI to accelerate the product delivery process.
Familiarity with data modeling and API-driven architectures; able to reason about systems at scale.
Strong technical fluency and ability to work effectively across autonomy, firmware, and cloud engineering teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Deep curiosity and empathy for users managing real-world, operational complexity. Excitement to travel to customer sites and engage with end-users to gain a deep understanding of real problems and how Skydio can best solve them.
Obtaining FAA Part 107 certification within the first 60 days of employment is strongly encouraged for all Skydio employees and required for this position.
Bonus points:
Experience with drones, autonomous systems, robotics, industrial IoT, or other mission-critical connected products.
Experience with fleet management, asset lifecycle, work-order, field-service, RMA, parts, warranty, or repair-management systems.

About Skydio
Skydio is a drone manufacturer that uses artificial intelligence to create flying drones that are used by consumers, enterprises, and government customers.
It develops AI-powered drones to deliver the power and flying cameras without the complexity. The company's drones use an array of cameras and proprietary computer vision technology to recognize, avoid objects in real-time, and predict into the future to make intelligent decisions, enabling users by flying themselves through the most demanding tasks or keeping them safe from obstacles when they want to take control. The company's debut drone, the R1, could track a target and film them while avoiding obstacles without any human intervention required. Then the company released the Skydio 2 in 2019, its second drone, cutting off more than half the price while improving its autonomous tracking and video capabilities. Its flagship product, the X2, is equipped with seven cameras, 100x zoom, night vision, and promises to turn ordinary users into expert pilots thanks to its self-piloting abilities. It is backed by top investors and strategic partners including Andreessen Horowitz, Linse Capital, Next47, IVP, Playground, NVIDIA, and UP.Partners.
