JDs are always too long - we prefer to chat in person! However, here are the essentials:
At SAMMY Labs we are building a foundational model for law. SAMMY AI compiles statutes, case law, regulator guidance, and our customers' own operating procedures into deterministic legal engines β evaluated through an app or one API call, in under 12ms, with full statutory provenance on every verdict.
This is not prompt engineering. This is infrastructure. When the law moves, bthe ontology recompiles. When a new jurisdiction enters scope, the model extends. Same input, same output. Every time. Check out www.sammylabs.com for more info.
The role/what we are looking for:
Skills we favour but aren't a requirement, experience in/with:
Wait so it's a full-stack role? Sort of... If you're purely front-end or backend you need to show you are a beast at one of them - how you show us is up to you SAMMY is not an LLM wrapper. No LLM sits in the critical path of a verdict. If you're excited by mechanistic interpretability, symbolic + learned hybrids, and systems where correctness is provable rather than vibes-based - you'll fit in here.
Pay & Equity
Not being transparent with pay & equity sucks, we know. Which is why there is no upper limit to either, come to us with an offer - if you think you're a 150k/yr dev just tell us why, and if we agree - that salary is yours. Same with equity.
