We are looking for an experienced ECU development engineer to join our team in developing the world’s most efficient piston engines. If you have a background in developing control systems that enhance the advantages of combustion and electric power working together, you’ll find an exciting career path of leading cutting edge solutions at Intelline. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute substantially to testing, demonstration, and early customer deliveries of world-first engine technologies.
This position will require in-person work at our Waterloo facility, with some flexibility for hybrid/remote work. Must include a resume and portfolio of work when applying.
We would prefer the candidate for this role be prepared for a start date between December 15th and January 15th.
Salary Range: $80,000-$100,000CAD/yr + stock options.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in an engineering discipline.
- 5+ years work experience in powertrain development and/or complex motion control systems.
- 3+ years experience with development and training of AI/ML models.
- 3+ years experience with National Instruments cRIO hardware and LabView. FPGA experience is a plus.
- 3+ years experience in rapid prototyping engine controls development with flexible ECU platforms (Mahle Flexible ECU, Audesse FlexCase, or similar).
- 3+ years experience with setup and calibration of a variety of sensors (pressure transducers, thermocouples, encoders, various automotive gas analysis sensors).
- Experience with CAN bus communication.
- Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink, python, C, Microsoft office products.
- Extensive knowledge of internal combustion piston engines and electric power generation through work experience and/or personal projects.
