About the role
Rev Genomics seeks a versatile PhD for an open scientist position. Plant biologists will be given top priority. The position comes with competitive salary, stock options, and a health-care plan. Rev is a biotechnology company that focuses on creating better plants. In particular, we focus on cannabis. Top candidates should have the following experience and training: • PhD in plant biology or a related discipline (open to recent grads as well as those with industry experience) • Deep expertise in plant tissue culture, with experience with plant transformation highly desirable • Excellent molecular biology skills • Exposure to bio-informatics highly desirable Essentially, if you can take a project from conception, through construct creation, to plant transformation, to regeneration, you might be the perfect candidate. Other highly desirable skills include: • Excellent work ethic. This is a start-up, and there aren’t many 40-hour weeks. • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team. In other words, personality matters. • Great attention to detail and well-developed organizational skills. • Flexibility. We are looking to fill this position ASAP, but we do have some flexibility with your start date.
