Aurorin CAD is a native desktop CAD application for mechanical engineers, built from scratch on a modern tech stack with AI at its core. It features a proprietary custom parametric and Boundary Representation (B-Rep) kernel designed to exploit modern CPUs and GPUs, unlike legacy CAD software running on geometric kernels written in the 1980s. The product combines a traditional CAD UI with an integrated AI chat interface, enabling engineers to create in seconds what would take 20+ minutes in legacy tools. Its mission is to help hardware companies ship faster by making a handful of great engineers capable of doing what once required armies.

Michael Baron
Michael Baron is the sole founder of Aurorin CAD. Prior to Aurorin, he completed three internships at SpaceX working on Raptor combustion simulation, Dragon Guidance Navigation & Control (GNC), and Starshield flight software. He also worked at Apple on GPU driver performance. His combined background in aerospace software and GPU hardware directly informs the design of Aurorin's performance-optimized, AI-native CAD kernel. He launched Aurorin through Y Combinator's Winter 2026 batch.
