Senior Technical Program Manager Location: US (Remote) Position Overview At Alteryx, we put data and AI to work for the intelligent enterprise. We're looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive foundational platform services programs that help make this vision enterprise-ready. In this role, you will lead platform initiatives across Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). You will bring structure to complex programs by clarifying scope, sequencing dependencies, managing risks, and keeping teams aligned on outcomes. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical depth with exceptional program leadership, can bring clarity to ambiguous problem spaces, and knows how to drive momentum across many stakeholders without losing sight of customer value, engineering quality, or business outcomes. Responsibilities Own end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional platform initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals, architectural direction, and committed milestones. Partner with Engineering, Product, Architecture, Security, SRE, and Infrastructure teams to define: Program scope Execution plans Dependencies Risks Launch readiness criteria Drive programs across strategic platform areas, including: Workspace Execution Platform runtime and orchestration Private and shared data planes Cloud and hybrid execution capabilities Service-to-service trust Enterprise administration Cloud adoption Lead planning activities, including: Scrum of Scrums Demos Retrospectives Dependency reviews Risk forums Build and maintain program artifacts such as: Roadmaps Executive dashboards RAID logs Dependency maps Status reports Executive communications Documentation in Jira, Confluence, and related tools Translate technical discovery and architectural decisions into executable plans spanning design, development, testing, rollout, and adoption measurement. Monitor delivery and operational success through metrics including: Milestone attainment Release readiness Service health Quality signals Customer adoption outcomes Support engineering trust initiatives that improve: Reliability Security Compliance Performance Cost visibility Engineering productivity Champion delivery best practices and mentor other Technical Program Managers to scale execution excellence across Alteryx. Required
Qualifications 8+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Engineering Program Management, or complex software delivery within cloud or platform-focused environments. Proven track record leading large, cross-functional initiatives across multiple engineering organizations where architecture, infrastructure, security, and product delivery intersect. Strong understanding of modern cloud platform concepts, including: Distributed systems Microservices APIs Identity and Access Management (IAM) Observability Networking Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Experience delivering platform, enterprise SaaS, compliance, or trust-focused programs in partnership with Security, Trust, GRC, Infrastructure, and SRE organizations. Strong proficiency with Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices, along with the judgment to adapt processes to team and program needs. Expertise with Jira, Confluence, and related planning and reporting tools. Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, create structure within evolving problem spaces, and drive alignment across technical and executive stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for engineers, senior leadership, and cross-functional partners. Strong facilitation, relationship-building, and influence skills with a bias toward action and a proven history of removing obstacles for teams. Experience leveraging AI tools to improve planning, communication, analysis, or execution workflows. Preferred
Qualifications Familiarity with identity and trust concepts, including: Service principals Delegation Token-based authentication patterns Zero Trust architecture Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) Auditability Experience working in enterprise SaaS, analytics platforms, data platforms, or AI-enabled product environments. Familiarity with V2MOM planning and reporting. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field. Program management certifications such as: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) SAFe certifications Relevant cloud, security, or compliance certifications are a plus.
Compensation: Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent
compensation. Final
compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location. The salary range for this role in the United States is $118,000 - $154,000. Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other
benefits, such as a
