The Team The Regional People Partners scope of work spans across partnering and operations, acting as advisors to the business and the People team in the region they oversee. Regional People Partners combine credible activism, culture and change stewardship and our role as organisational developers to build and strengthen Checkout.com ’s colleague experience across the globe.
The Role We are looking for a dedicated colleague to support in developing and managing HR Administration and shared services processes to deliver best-in-class HR services, products, and systems aligned with business needs, across the employee lifecycle. You will have good working knowledge for your role, including the basics around employment law and best employment practices, as well as experience of and/or capability as a partner to drive value across the talent agenda regionally. People Team – Be knowledgeable on the Mauritius employment law and customs for the HR team. Law - Stay current with employment legislation and support developing People policies and processes to meet employment law regulations and
requirements. Employee lifecycle - Support and drive people management processes such as joiners, leavers, and absences. Support People programs and processes, such as regular employee engagement surveys, performance cycles, and
compensation cycles. Development - Collaborate with the Regional Lead on training and development initiatives. Culture champion - Support foster an inclusive culture in harmony with our values and be the central point of contact for all cultural activities. Admin - Support administrative work across the region, and assist and support team members with their day-to-day requests for information needed from the People team
Benefits - Support with the implementation of benefit programs locally, understanding how to drive an attractive and competitive offering and working closely with the Global HR team for parity Employee Relations - Support in building on a solid foundational knowledge of local ER issues, seeking simplicity in complexity and developing the organisation’s zero tolerance policy to misconduct and poor performance. Employee Engagement - Support with the running of quarterly, bi-annual engagement reporting and implementation of new initiatives. Compliance – Uphold a high standard of people compliance across systems, audits and any regulatory
requirements. Employer Branding - Support on employer branding initiatives by promoting our values, culture, and creating opportunities to attract top talent. Collaborate on general projects globally and regionally. Performing other duties as required by the Regional Lead. About you: Familiarity and proven experience with employment law and employee relations in Mauritius. Degree in Human Resource Management, or equivalent. 2-3 years’ of working experience as an HR Generalist. Creates collaborative relationships through effective communication and customer focus. Experience delivering multiple change projects simultaneously. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders up to manager level. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, especially in English and French. High level of drive, enthusiasm and resilience with ability to work under pressure Comfortable with ambiguity, ability to flex and adapt and resilient through periods of change.
