About
the role The Site Leader will be responsible for establishing, scaling, and leading the Hyderabad office as a strategic extension of the company's global operations. This role combines organizational leadership, talent acquisition, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the Hyderabad team effectively delivers against business objectives. The successful candidate will build a high-performing culture, develop local leadership capabilities, drive operational efficiency, and serve as the primary representative of the company in Hyderabad. They will partner closely with executive leadership and functional leaders across Engineering, Product, Customer Success, Operations, and Corporate Functions to align local execution with global priorities. #LifeAtProofpoint as a Director of Engineering Site Leadership & Strategy : Develop and execute the Hyderabad site strategy in alignment with company objectives and growth plans. Serve as the senior leader and ambassador, fostering a strong culture and employee experience. Ensure the site operates effectively, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and local regulations. Team Growth & Talent Management: Lead workforce planning efforts to support current and future business needs. Partner with Talent Acquisition and functional leaders to recruit, onboard, and retain top talent. Build organizational structures that scale effectively as the business grows. Develop leadership pipelines and succession plans to support long-term organizational growth. Promote employee engagement, professional development, and career progression. Operational Excellence: Drive operational processes, governance, and performance management across teams. Establish measurable goals, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to monitor site performance. Identify and remove organizational bottlenecks that impact productivity and execution. Ensure efficient resource allocation and organizational effectiveness across departments. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with global leadership teams to align priorities, staffing, and execution plans. Facilitate collaboration between teams in different countries. Ensure effective communication and transparency across functions and geographies. Support the successful delivery of critical business initiatives and strategic programs.
