Position Summary
The Marine Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing yacht maintenance, diagnostics, and repair services as directed by the Service Manager while delivering highlevel customer service. This role requires strong technical expertise, independent problemsolving skills, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
Technicians are dispatched directly to job sites and must be capable of working independently while always representing the company professionally.
Core Duties And Responsibilities
- Arrive on time and be prepared to depart for assigned jobs by 8:00 a.m.
- Perform preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance on yachts and marine equipment
- Troubleshoot engines, generators (gensets), and onboard systems and provide repair recommendations
- Repair or replace defective components with highquality workmanship within estimated timelines
- Identify manufacturer information, serial numbers, and vessel data and document accurately
- Complete and submit parts order forms prior to ordering parts
- Submit parts orders by 10:15 a.m. for sameday delivery when applicable
- Start, test, and verify proper operation of repaired equipment
- Properly protect and cover vessels while performing maintenance work
- Maintain a clean work area and secure vessels upon job completion
- Report unusual findings or safety concerns immediately to the Service Manager
- Submit time sheets and work orders daily
- Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures at all times
- Report injuries immediately and seek medical assistance when required
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Service Manager
Candidate Profile - Marine Technicians - Must own personal tools and a reliable vehicle (independent, mobile role)
- Strong background in marine repair and yacht maintenance
- Dealer certifications preferred (e.g., Fisher Panda, Mercury, Panda Generators)
- Extensive experience considered in lieu of formal certifications
- Company willing to invest in training and certification for the right candidates
- Open to a mix of experience levels:
- Highly experienced master technicians (20-30 years)
- Emerging technicians with strong growth potential
