the Role Lyra Health is looking for a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide essential clinical care. This role emphasizes core competencies such as diagnostic expertise, family engagement, ethical practice, and continuous improvement to ensure the highest standard of care. \n
Responsibilities Clinical Assessment and Diagnostic Skills Competency: Proficient in assessing and diagnosing a wide range of mental health disorders in children, teens, and young adults.
Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, formulate accurate diagnoses, and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each developmental stage. Evidence-Based Treatment Competency: Applies evidence-based practices, maintaining familiarity with current psychiatric guidelines and research for effective pediatric mental health interventions.
Responsibilities: Utilize proven therapeutic techniques and medication management strategies to address conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders, ensuring safe and appropriate interventions. Family-Centered Approach Competency: Skilled in engaging families as active participants in the treatment process, addressing family dynamics, and enhancing support structures.
Responsibilities: Foster a collaborative treatment environment, educating families on mental health issues, involving them in care planning, and providing guidance on supportive measures at home. Virtual Care Delivery Competency: Demonstrates expertise in providing telepsychiatry services, including synchronous and asynchronous sessions, adapting care delivery to a remote, accessible model.
Responsibilities: Conduct virtual psychiatric sessions, ensuring a high-quality and supportive experience, and leverage technology to maintain regular communication with members and families. Collaborative Teamwork Competency: Works effectively within an interdisciplinary team, communicating openly with care managers, nurses, wellness coaches, and other providers to ensure integrated care.
Responsibilities: Actively participate in team meetings, contribute to collaborative care planning, and provide consultative support to other team members for comprehensive member care. Data-Driven Practice and Documentation Competency: Utilizes data to inform treatment decisions and document thoroughly to meet regulatory and quality standards.
Responsibilities: Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, care plans, and progress notes. Use data analytics to assess outcomes and continuously improve care quality. Ethics and Compliance Competency: Adheres to ethical standards, maintaining confidentiality, practicing within legal and professional guidelines, and upholding the integrity of the profession.

Qualifications MD or DO degree ABPN Board Certification in Child Psychiatry Current unrestricted license to practice medicine within the United States (priority given for IMLC licensure, IMLC issuing states, and states prioritized based on operational needs) Experience with Virtual Care and telepsychiatry platforms, demonstrating comfort and proficiency in remote care settings Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Grounded in cultural humility with a deep commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) and culturally responsive care Demonstrated Family Engagement skills and experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults. \n $100,000 - $100,000 a year The Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist role is a part-time, exempt W-2 position, with a base salary of $100,00 annually.
