We are looking for a Robotics Test Engineer with 5-7 years of experience to join the Adams Transport team and help scale device bring-up and testing infrastructure for autonomous vehicles. You'll be part of a new but well-resourced transportation division, leveraging proven technology from Pronto's autonomous mining platform to build out testing processes for vehicle integration. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape how new vehicles are onboarded, tested, and validated within a modular, OEM-agnostic autonomous stack. The team is engineering-led, fast-moving, and deploying real technology into production environments—not running simulations in a lab.
What will you be doing?
Creating processes and writing software for flashing, bring-up, and testing new vehicle devices across multiple OEMs (Toyota, Hyundai, Hitachi, etc.)
Debugging complex software-to-hardware integration issues alongside technicians, electrical engineers, and other robotics engineers
Building hardware-in-the-loop tests for actuation, burn-in, and bench testing
Developing tools and test frameworks for technicians—including visualization, test deployment, result tracking, and test execution
Assessing and building scalable processes to bring new devices live and operating within the company's autonomous software stack
Atoms is building the machines that power the next era of progress. Founded by Travis Kalanick after leaving Uber, Atoms represents the consolidation of eight years of technology development across multiple divisions — bringing Physical AI to the industries that move civilization forward.
The company operates across three core verticals:
Atoms takes a modular, OEM-agnostic approach — integrating autonomous robotic technology into existing vehicles and equipment (Hitachi, Komatsu, Toyota, Hyundai) rather than replacing them. Both the food and mining divisions are live production ecosystems with real customers, not experimental or simulated environments.
The culture at Atoms is engineering-first. Engineers and engineering leaders make the primary decisions that impact the company — not operations or finance. This means regardless of level, engineers have outsized impact compared to traditional large tech companies. The work is ambitious, often challenging, and grounded in a shared sense of purpose to bring automation into the physical world.
