About Mercor Mercor's mission is to organize human intelligence to power the AI economy. We partner with leading AI labs and enterprises to provide the human intelligence essential to AI development. Our vast talent network trains frontier AI models in the same way teachers teach students: by sharing knowledge, experience, and context that can't be captured in code alone. Today, more than 30,000 experts in our network collectively earn over $2 million a day. Mercor is creating a new category of work where expertise powers AI advancement. Achieving this requires an ambitious, fast-paced and deeply committed team. You’ll work alongside researchers, operators, and AI companies at the forefront of shaping the systems that are redefining society. Mercor is a profitable Series C company valued at $10 billion. We work in-person five days a week in our San Francisco, NYC, or London offices.
About
the Role We are looking for a senior, execution-oriented technical program leader to drive a company-wide systems transformation across finance, operations, product, and internal tooling. This person will own the operating rhythm, roadmap,
requirements, dependencies, and execution plan for a major internal systems revamp. They will partner closely with Finance, Product, Engineering, Data, Operations, Legal, GTM, and executive leadership to define the system architecture, data model, core workflows, and launch plan for a scalable internal platform. The ideal candidate is product-minded, technically credible, and execution-obsessed. They should be comfortable defining data structures and finance
requirements, translating business needs into technical specs, driving multiple workstreams in parallel, and escalating tradeoffs clearly when timelines, scope, or dependencies are at risk.
What You'll Do Own the end-to-end transformation roadmap for company-wide internal systems, including scope, milestones, owners, dependencies, risks, launch readiness, and executive reporting. Define a unified operating data model across tasks, projects, products, contract terms, customers, experts, and revenue. Partner with Product and Engineering to build a task-based system of record that supports revenue tracking, cost attribution, delivery pacing, quality measurement, and operational controls. Translate Finance, Operations, and GTM
requirements into clear product
requirements, business
requirements, process flows, data definitions, and technical acceptance criteria. Drive implementation of native dashboards for project design, daily pacing, throughput, margin, billing status, payment status, quality, and SLA adherence. Lead delivery of billing, payment ledger, revenue recognition support, fraud detection, auditability, reconciliation, and financial control workflows. Create scalable staffing, lifecycle status, and expert performance systems with real-time visibility, exception handling, permissions, and operational controls. Establish the program governance model: weekly execution reviews, dependency tracking, RAID logs, decision logs, escalation paths, launch readiness reviews, UAT, hypercare, and post-launch measurement. Serve as the connective tissue across teams, making sure business
requirements do not get lost in product/engineering translation and that technical constraints are understood by business stakeholders.
What We're Looking For 6+ years of experience in technical program management, product operations, finance systems, business systems, internal tools, or technical business transformation. Demonstrated success managing complex cross-functional programs with multiple workstreams, dependencies, executive stakeholders, and ambiguous
requirements. Strong understanding of systems design, data architecture, data modeling, integrations, and data quality concepts. Experience working with finance-related systems or workflows such as billing, revenue, payments, ledgering, reconciliations, order-to-cash, quote-to-cash, procure-to-pay, ERP, or financial reporting. Ability to partner credibly with engineering teams on tradeoffs, technical design, implementation sequencing, data flows, APIs, dashboards, and system reliability. Strong execution discipline: milestone ownership, dependency management, risk tracking, stakeholder alignment, written communication, and operating cadence design. Comfort operating in high-ambiguity environments where processes and systems are still being built.
Bonus Points Experience with marketplaces, labor/staffing platforms, expert networks, fintech, payments, billing engines, revenue platforms, or internal platform teams. SQL or analytics fluency. Experience with audit-ready financial workflows, SOX-style controls, fraud/risk systems, or financial data quality. Experience building internal tools that support operations, finance, product launches, or workforce lifecycle management. Experience at high-growth technology companies scaling from manual processes into systematized internal platforms.
