About the role
Sorce is building the easiest way to find a job. Users swipe through jobs like Tinder, and our AI submits job applications for them automatically. We have over 800k users who have swiped right over 15 million times, leading to tens of thousands of interviews, with hires at more than half of the Fortune 100. This traction is all driven by a lean, fast-moving team based in SF, with a deep engineering-first culture.
We're looking for someone who loves building things end to end. You'll take full ownership of ambiguous problems and ship features to real users on the other end.
What you'll do
- Own services end to end: design (team whiteboarding session if it's deep), build, and ship to hundreds of thousands of users. Monitor in prod.
- Build zero to one: new infrastructure, product surfaces, and microservices with minimal spec and full ownership.
- Help mature existing systems: cost reduction, fleshing out evals, extending features/functionality, etc.
- Ship fast.
You'll be a good fit if you:
- Have built multiple zero-to-one projects before. Bonus if you've gotten real users or tried to build your own company.
- Can go deep. We want technical depth, not just breadth. Ideally have worked on something technically complex and have worked on the same project / problem space for months.
- Are comfortable working with Typescript/Node.js, Python, and Postgres, and can pick up new languages/tools quickly.
- Get energy from shipping something and watching metrics move as a direct result.
- Want to work in-person in SF with a lean and electric engineering team.
Bonus if
- You've worked at an early-stage startup where the roadmap changed weekly
- You've worked with Golang and/or Rust
- You regularly generate new ideas for how to extend the product
