About the role
We are looking for an AI Deployment Strategist to own the end-to-end implementation and success of Freehand's AI agents for accounts payable at large enterprises like Apple, Meta, J&J, Cardinal Health, and Unilever. We hire from two profiles: (1) operators with big-company and startup experience and a digital procurement background, or (2) high-slope analysts with 1–2+ years at MBB or a top investment bank and a strong undergrad (no MBA needed). Either way, you're polished and customer-ready from day one, able to lead and structure conversations with C-suite stakeholders and push back when needed. This is not a hand-holding role; it's a seat at the table where your decisions shape both customer outcomes and the product itself.
What will you be doing?
- Lead end-to-end enterprise onboarding — from pre-sales kickoff and blueprinting through integration setup and go-live — managing 5–6 accounts simultaneously
- Own executive stakeholder relationships (Chief Supply Chain Officers, CFOs, 10–15 person steering committees) at Fortune 100 clients, presenting early wins and driving adoption
- Act as a strategic advisor who pushes customers toward best practices rather than just fulfilling requests — you bring a strong point of view and defend it
- Partner closely with product and engineering teams to translate customer insights into roadmap decisions and shape the product's direction
- Work cross-functionally with pre-sales on PoCs and demos, and with junior analysts on integration and data ingestion work
About Freehand
Freehand is building the infrastructure that gives AI the judgment to act — not just the data to recommend. As a native agentic AI company, Freehand's autonomous AI agents completely automate supply chain spend management for the world's largest enterprises, including Fortune 100 clients like Apple, Meta, GE, Pfizer, J&J, and Unilever.
Unlike traditional AI tools that surface recommendations, Freehand's agents take over the entire procure-to-pay (P2P) motion — from vendor procurement and rate negotiations to invoice ingestion and payment execution. While you sleep, your invoices get paid.
Why Freehand?
- Category-defining: Very few companies are solving this problem in the agentic AI space. Freehand sits in a quadrant with minimal competition, making it a true category creator.
- High-growth trajectory: $15M ARR last year, gunning for $50M this year, with $75M raised from top-tier investors.
- Mission that matters: Solving an "unsexy" problem that fundamentally affects how the world moves its goods — enterprise supply chain and financial operations at massive scale.
Culture & Operating Principles:
- Context Before Confidence. Get in, ask questions, connect the dots, and move fast. No passengers, no hand-holding.
- Decisions, not Recommendations. Freehand folks decide — real autonomy with real accountability.
- High Agency, High Trust. No micromanagement. Act, share your reasoning, and course-correct when needed.
- Accountability is the Product. When something goes wrong, name it, learn from it, and move on. No politics.
- The Work That Remains is the Work That Matters. Low-value work is actively cut. What lands on your plate matters and can only be done by you.
