About the role
Where multiple locations are listed for this role, the position may be based in any of those locations, with priority determined according to the order of listing. Simular's finance function is being built right now, from the ground up. That means an intern here is not filing paperwork behind an established process: you'll own a real function, and help decide what the process should be. You'll also get to work on something most finance interns never touch: what finance looks like when the workflows are AI-native.
What you'll do Own the Accounts Payable function: process invoices on time and help optimize cash flow Work with external stakeholders to support month-end closing Help set up our budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting frameworks Lead discussion and execution of new finance policies, systems, and processes Collaborate on projects and assignments that contribute to key finance deliverables Look for places where finance work can be automated, and help build those workflows You might be a fit if You're currently pursuing a degree in Accountancy or Finance You're proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus You have a keen interest in exploring AI-native finance workflows You have strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills You're able to work both independently and as part of a team
Bonus: prior finance internship, or exposure to multi-entity operations
