About the role
About Nox Metals. American factories deserve a supply chain that moves as fast as they do. Nox Metals is building it, along with the tools that run it. We’re a technology company with operations in Metro Detroit and Los Angeles, supplying aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to aerospace and defense manufacturers. We use software and automation to supply metal to American factories faster than the industry thought possible.
The role. We’re hiring a Recruiter to find and close the people who will build Nox Metals. You will recruit across factory operations, engineering, sales, marketing, finance, and leadership, adapting your approach while holding a consistent bar for ownership, judgment, and ability.
This is a full-cycle role. You will learn the work, build the search, engage candidates directly, run a disciplined process, and help hiring managers make better decisions.
You will:
-
Own recruiting searches from intake and sourcing through offer and close
-
Translate business needs into clear role definitions and practical scorecards
-
Build targeted outbound strategies instead of relying only on inbound applicants
-
Screen candidates for skill, motivation, judgment, and fit with the actual work
-
Coach hiring managers on interviews, evidence, speed, and candidate experience
-
Keep candidates informed and represent Nox Metals honestly and compellingly
-
Maintain accurate pipeline data and use it to identify bottlenecks
-
Build local talent networks around our Los Angeles and Detroit facilities
-
Improve interview plans, recruiting content, referrals, and onboarding handoffs
-
Support high-volume hiring without lowering the standard
You are:
-
A persistent sourcer and thoughtful evaluator
-
Credible with factory candidates, technical specialists, and senior leaders
-
Fast and organized across many active searches
-
Direct, warm, and comfortable delivering difficult feedback
-
Interested enough in the work to explain why each role matters
-
Data-aware without treating recruiting as a spreadsheet exercise
-
Accountable for outcomes and willing to change a search that is not working
Nice to have:
-
Experience recruiting for manufacturing, industrial operations, engineering, or hard-to-fill technical roles
-
Experience with both hourly and salaried searches
-
Experience building a recruiting function in a fast-growing company
-
Strong command of Ashby or another modern applicant-tracking system
-
Comfort using AI tools for research and administration while preserving human judgment
Benefits:
-
Equity in Nox Metals
-
Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance
This role is full time and in person in either Los Angeles or Detroit, with regular time at both facilities as needed.
Nox Metals is an equal opportunity employer. We hire based on skill, attitude, and fit for the work, and we do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, height, weight, marital status, or any other protected status under federal, state, or local law.
About Nox Metals
Factories waste time quoting, sourcing, and cutting aluminum blocks. It's slow, manual, and adds unnecessary overhead. This inefficiency compounds across thousands of jobs, dragging down margins and throughput. We started Nox to automate this layer and unlock speed and scale for modern manufacturing.
