Director of Engineering

Los Angeles, United States
Full-time

About the role

We are looking for a Director of Engineering with 4+ years of experience to build the software organization and systems that run Nox Metals. We want a hands-on technical leader who has scaled teams at a frontier company and wants to build a faster, more reliable American metals supply chain for aerospace and defense manufacturers.

What will you be doing?

  • Setting the technical strategy and engineering roadmap across customer software, internal operations, data, infrastructure, and applied ML
  • Recruiting, developing, and leading a high-performing engineering team from the ground up
  • Designing a durable architecture across customer, commercial, and manufacturing systems, and staying close enough to the code to review critical designs
  • Working directly with sales, operations, finance, and the factory floor to turn real workflows into software
  • Raising the bar on reliability, security, and observability, and measuring the impact on customers and the factory

About Nox Metals

Factories waste time quoting, sourcing, and cutting aluminum blocks. It's slow, manual, and adds unnecessary overhead. This inefficiency compounds across thousands of jobs, dragging down margins and throughput. We started Nox to automate this layer and unlock speed and scale for modern manufacturing.
