What you’ll do As a Project Manager on Sierra’s Real Estate team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our global footprint and driving the operational success of the company. You’ll manage the full lifecycle of commercial construction projects—from initial design through occupancy—while partnering closely with our internal operations team and external partners to ensure our expansion initiatives run smoothly and efficiently. In addition, you’ll serve as the primary point of contact for facilities support, working with local office managers to maintain seamless operations across our existing workplaces. As part of a small team, you’ll be a self-starter who’s willing to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to support Sierra’s spaces. This role is based in San Francisco, CA, with occasional travel to project sites. As an in-office-first company, we expect this position to be onsite 4–5 days per week. Additional
responsibilities include: Execute a wide range of projects simultaneously—from complex retrofits to large-scale buildouts—ensuring each is accurately defined, adequately staffed, and delivered on time and within budget. Lead critical project management initiatives and specialty programs, such as EBCs and other unique construction efforts. Collaborate cross-functionally with teams like Operations, IT, Finance, Recruiting, and external stakeholders, including contractors and architects. Support capital and facilities budget planning, variance tracking, and financial reporting for all projects. Conduct detailed project estimating, budgeting, and financial analysis to ensure fiscal responsibility and efficiency. Support office management staff to ensure existing operations are highly functional and uniform across all offices. Lead vendor management and contract administration. Evaluate and continue to improve our facilities operations processes. Engage and actively manage external vendors to deliver high-quality work. What you’ll bring Have 4+ years of experience delivering commercial and workplace interiors, including tenant improvement (TI) projects ranging in scale. A background in interior design or construction project management and have directly managed commercial TI projects. Have led or supported multiple simultaneous projects, with a track record of delivering on time, within budget, and to a high standard. Expertise in construction budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Relationship-building skills with external vendors. Strong leadership and collaboration skills with colleagues and partners at all levels Thrive in a fast-paced culture.
