Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Technical Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role will be responsible for supporting the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, strengthening internal controls, and contributing to accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical accounting foundation, analytical mindset, and a proactive approach to process improvement. This position will partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Cost Accounting, Legal, Sales, and external auditors to support a dynamic and fast-paced business environment.
Responsibilities: Lead and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies Perform technical accounting research and prepare documentation for complex or non-routine transactions Analyze accounting implications of transactions including revenue, leases, fixed assets, accruals, equity, debt, and other key areas Maintain and enhance internal controls in compliance with SOX
requirements Partner cross-functionally to evaluate business transactions and ensure appropriate accounting treatment Support inventory and cost accounting processes, including inventory reconciliations, excess and obsolete analysis, inventory reserves, and coordination with Operations to ensure accurate valuation and reporting Lead the quarterly accounting and reporting for stock-based
compensation under ASC 718, including review of valuation reports, preparation of journal entries and disclosures, and evaluation of modifications or other complex equity transactions; perform technical accounting assessments and prepare supporting memoranda for non-routine or complex business transactions to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP. Support preparation of financial statement disclosures and assist with SEC reporting (10-K, 10-Q), if applicable Drive audit readiness by preparing high-quality supporting documentation and serving as a key liaison with external auditors Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, scalability, and accuracy in accounting operations Assist with system implementations, automation initiatives, and other finance transformation projects as needed Support special projects, including M&A activities, integration efforts, and strategic initiatives Provide broad support to the Accounting and Finance organization, assisting with ad hoc analyses, special projects, process improvements, and other accounting
responsibilities as needed to support business objectives. Required
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or equivalent, required A minimum of 4–7 years of accounting experience Strong hands-on ASC 606, ASC 718 and ASC 842 application experience Public company and/or Big 4 experience SOX experience Demonstrated ability to research technical accounting matters and prepare clear, well-supported documentation Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across functions and present to management and auditors Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to continuous improvement Candidates must have current authorization to work in the United States without the need for present or future sponsorship.
