We are looking for a Founding Sales hire with 2+ years of experience in SDR/BDR or early-stage sales to build Capy's outbound enterprise sales motion from scratch. You'll be the first sales hire at a YC-backed startup building the world's first cloud-native AI Software Engineer — joining a 6-person team that just turned down an acquisition offer and is now shifting into GTM mode with strong early traction from pilots at companies like Mercury and Exa.
What will you be doing?
Build the entire outbound sales pipeline from zero — identifying target accounts, crafting messaging, and running outreach across email and LinkedIn
Book and lead enterprise sales meetings with engineering teams, qualifying real interest and pushing toward close
Work directly with the CEO and CTO to iterate on ICP, positioning, and product-market fit based on prospect feedback
Create and refine the founding sales playbook through rapid experimentation — expect to be sending outreach within your first week
Share frontline insights to help shape the product roadmap and future GTM hiring strategy
Key Requirements
Prior SDR/BDR or AE experience at an early-stage startup (Seed through Series B/C) — must have built or contributed to outbound motions, not just followed existing playbooks
Strong bias for action and execution over planning — this role demands output from day one in a scrappy environment
