We are looking for a Founding Account Executive with 3+ years of experience (including at least 1 year in a closing role) to join Lightfield as their second AE and help scale a high-velocity, inbound-heavy sales motion at one of the fastest-growing AI-native CRMs on the market. This is a rare opportunity to join a rocketship early — the pipeline is already there, the brand is building fast (yes, the billboards are real), and you'll be shaping the sales org from the ground up.
What will you be doing?
Running 8–12 demos per day, managing a high-velocity inbound pipeline while layering in targeted outbound to Series A/B startups
Owning the full sales cycle — discovery, demo, pilot, and close — on ~$25K ACV deals with 30-day cycles
Upselling self-serve CRM customers onto Lightfield's AI pipeline generation module (a $2K → $20K upsell opportunity)
Helping build the sales playbook: talk tracks, pilot frameworks, and mutual action plans that will define how the team scales
Feeding market intelligence — objections, competitive positioning, feature gaps — directly to GTM and product leadership
Key Requirements
At least 1 year of closing experience in a B2B SaaS or tech sales role (BDR → AE progression considered)
Experience selling at an early-stage startup (pre-seed through Series C/D) — not exclusively big tech or enterprise
Comfortable in a high-velocity, ~$25K ACV deal environment with short sales cycles
Gritty, adaptable, and mission-driven — no playbook handed to you; you help write it
Based in San Francisco and able to commit to 4 days/week in-office in the Design District
Lightfield is an AI-native CRM built for the modern era, designed to replace legacy tools like Salesforce and HubSpot by assembling itself automatically from a team's email, calendar, and meetings — capturing every interaction and turning it into organized context: accounts, tasks, follow-ups, and insights, so nothing slips through the cracks. The company's mission is to become the definitive system of record for the AI era, rethinking CRM from first principles so that instead of forcing teams into rigid systems, it learns from how companies actually work, adapting, automating, and surfacing insights that drive growth. Lightfield is backed by top-tier investors including Greylock, Lightspeed, and Coatue, and its founders previously built Tome, a generative AI presentation product used by over 25 million people; the broader team brings deep pedigree from Llama, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, Pinterest, Google, and Salesforce. Traction has been exceptional: over 3,000 companies have signed up since the November launch, with 100+ new sign-ups every week and roughly 30 converting to paying customers weekly — with notable customers including Substack and Distill. Lightfield operates a dual go-to-market motion, pairing a high-velocity self-serve PLG funnel with a direct sales motion targeting Series A/B startups, and is scaling its team rapidly. The culture is high-intensity, mission-driven, and in-office four days a week (Wednesdays from home), attracting missionaries over mercenaries who are genuinely excited about building a category-defining company — and uniquely, Lightfield sells to its own avatars, meaning the product team has enormous appetite to fulfill the needs of the CS and GTM functions using the product itself.
