Tasklet is building the AI platform companies use to run their business on agents. A customer describes an outcome in plain English, and Tasklet gets the work done across their tools and systems
About the role
We’re looking for unusually strong engineers, from mid-level to Staff+, to build Tasklet across three areas:
You may have a clear center of gravity in one of these areas, or your interests and experience may span more than one. You do not need to decide exactly where you fit before applying. We’ll work with you to identify where your strengths, interests, and judgment can have the most impact.
These are broad engineering roles, not narrow specializations. You’ll follow important problems wherever they lead—from interaction design and client architecture to APIs, data models, agent runtimes, storage, distributed systems, and production infrastructure. We care more about intelligence, first-principles reasoning, and strong computer-science fundamentals than a conventional AI résumé, exact stack match, or experience with any particular technology or domain.
What you’ll do
Regardless of level, this is a hands-on IC role: everyone at Tasklet personally builds and ships. Your work may center on one of the following areas or span several of them:
Product
Platform
AI Infrastructure
For all three areas, you’ll work across the stack and across role boundaries whenever that is the best way to solve the problem.
Who you are
Tasklet is the AI command center for your team’s threads, connections, knowledge, and apps. Unlike a chatbot that just answers questions, Tasklet takes ownership of work: it sends emails, updates spreadsheets, files tickets, builds apps, and runs recurring processes across your tools. Describe the outcome in plain English, and Tasklet figures out the rest.
It connects to your whole stack: thousands of apps are one click away, plus any HTTP API or MCP server—even the private tools your company built itself. Each thread gets its own secure computer in the cloud to run code, process data, and open a browser when an app has no API. And because threads run in the cloud, they keep working when your laptop is closed—on a schedule or when events happen, like a new email or Slack message, with no one pressing go.
Best of all, Tasklet is built for teams: share connections, threads, and knowledge across the company, with credentials locked down and access set once. You get frontier models from Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google in a single plan—routed to whichever does each job best—plus granular access controls, centralized billing, and enterprise-grade security. It’s how teams scale productivity without adding headcount.
We've raised over $30M from USV, Lightspeed, YC, as well as a great list of other venture funds and angels. Now we're looking to accelerate our growth further by expanding our engineering team.

A few questions to make sure this role is the right shape for you. Two minutes.
I write the intro, send it to the founder, and handle the back-and-forth.
If they’re a yes, I book the chat. You show up — that’s the whole job-hunt.
