About the role
We are looking for a Founding Engineer with 2+ years of experience to join our one-person team and build the core infrastructure for our ad network. You will be a generalist engineer with a strong backend focus, capable of designing and implementing systems that handle massive scale from day one. This is a unique opportunity to tackle real scaling challenges, like processing millions of ad requests, that most early-stage companies don't face until much later. We need someone who can ship code quickly, operate independently, and take extreme ownership of outcomes as we build the dominant ad network for consumer AI.
What will you be doing?
- Design and build the ad decisioning pipeline for candidate retrieval, scoring, filtering, and ranking under strict latency SLAs.
- Develop a lightweight publisher-facing SDK for easy integration by AI app developers.
- Create the core ad delivery infrastructure, including systems for pacing, frequency capping, and budget management.
- Build out the observability stack with real-time dashboards to monitor key metrics like auction win rates, fill rates, and revenue.
- Work on high-traffic backend systems, scaling them to handle a rapidly increasing number of users and ad requests.
