About the role
What we're looking for:
We need someone with 8+ years of product design experience (with at least 3 in design leadership) who has built design systems from scratch and shipped exceptional consumer or social products. You should be comfortable operating as a player-coach — setting strategic vision while still getting hands-on with the work — and have a track record of elevating craft across mobile and web surfaces. Bonus points if you have experience in health, wellness, or mission-driven products.
What you'll do:
- Own design strategy and vision across the entire company — defining what Somethings looks and feels like across mobile, web, and brand
- Build the design system and brand implementation from scratch — tokens, components, patterns, documentation, and a cohesive visual language
- Elevate craft across every product surface, setting and upholding the quality bar for teen mobile experience, mentor web platform, and clinical tooling
- Lead, coach, and grow a design team of 3–5 designers, creating a culture of high craft and high agency
- Partner cross-functionally with product, engineering, clinical operations, growth, and the CEO on brand, investor materials, and company narrative
- Bring emotional intelligence to every surface — designing for belonging, trust, and care for the millions of teens we serve
