About the role
We are looking for a DevOps/SRE Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join a fast-growing platform team and provide critical redundancy and scale to our cloud infrastructure. You'll partner with an existing platform engineer to own the health, stability, and security of a system processing billions of log messages annually – directly supporting revenue growth in a highly regulated fintech environment. This is a hands-on role for someone who's comfortable wearing both the DevOps and SRE hats, thrives in a startup pace, and has deep AWS expertise. You should be someone who has seen systems at scale, understands trade-offs, and can hit the ground running.
What you will be doing
- Monitoring system health, managing EC2 capacity, disk space, and memory – ensuring the platform can handle rapidly growing traffic (projecting 1B+ messages into Elasticsearch this year)
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting to accelerate delivery velocity
- Supporting the introduction of new production technologies like Kafka, hardening the system and preparing for expansion
- Performing security audits, investigating bad actors, managing alerts, and contributing to SOC 2 Level 2 compliance efforts
- Triaging production issues alongside the engineering team – diagnosing root causes and implementing durable fixes across the AWS stack
