About the role
We're looking for a backend-leaning full-stack engineer with 2–8 years of experience (flexible from ~1 to 10 years) who has worked at a brand-name engineering company and holds a degree from a top-tier university (top 20). You should be comfortable working independently and owning features end-to-end in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment, with a bias toward backend work (~60/40 backend-to-frontend split). You're mission-driven, low-ego, and genuinely excited about improving healthcare access for Americans — not purely economically motivated. This is a top priority hire as Corridor scales toward Series A — team caliber is a core strategic KPI and this person will help set the engineering bar for the next 5–15 hires.
Responsibilities
- Ship production AI agents that automate manual brokerage workflows end-to-end — quoting, census normalization, RFP creation, enrollment, and ongoing servicing
- Own a full product domain: design, build, deploy, monitor, and iterate with high autonomy; define your own roadmap within the broader product strategy
- Work directly with internal ops and GTM teams as your customers — watch the manual process, then kill it
- Build carrier integrations across portal automation (Playwright/browser agents), EDI/SFTP feeds, email parsing, and RFP submission workflows
- Work across the full stack — TypeScript/Python backend, React frontend, Temporal workflows, and MCP-based agentic tooling
- Partner with the VP of Engineering on infrastructure and the CPO on product direction while independently covering a large surface area of the platform
- Set the engineering bar and culture for the next 5–15 hires — we expect this person to be a talent magnet who raises standards across the team
