We’re looking for an AI-Native Electrical Engineer to take early-stage prototypes and evolve them into deployable alpha hardware systems for first design partners. This is a highly hands-on, full-stack hardware role focused on turning concepts into real, working products.
What will you be doing?
- Own the transition from prototype → alpha product Take rough, lab-scale systems and iterate them into structured, testable, and customer-ready hardware.
- Design and build high-voltage DC power systems (800V-class) Develop power conversion, switching, and distribution architectures using modern semiconductor devices (e.g. SiC).
- Model, simulate, and validate system performance Use tools like SPICE or PLECS to evaluate electrical, thermal, and system-level behavior, and rapidly iterate on designs.
- Bring hardware to life in the lab Lead hands-on bring-up, debugging, and characterization using high-power equipment, solving real-world issues across switching, timing, sensing, and protection.
- Leverage AI-native workflows to accelerate development Use modern tools (agents, LLMs, simulation augmentation) to move faster through design, testing, and iteration cycles.
- Coordinate end-to-end hardware execution Work with external partners on PCB fabrication, component sourcing, and packaging while ensuring designs come together into a cohesive, presentable system.
- Drive system-level thinking and tradeoffs Make pragmatic design decisions across performance, thermals, reliability, and manufacturability to move quickly toward a functional product.
