About the role
Be the operational backbone of the product and engineering team — owning sprint discipline, backlog management, release coordination, and support operations so Design can focus on craft, Engineering can focus on shipping, and Leadership can focus on strategy.
Highly collaborative, facilitation-oriented role. Reports to and works closely with the co-founders, operating cross-functionally.
Core responsibilities: Owning the operational machinery means that your days will be different everyday. But here are a few things you could be doing day-to-day:
- Sprint operations & backlog management — run sprint planning with Product/Eng/Design, own the backlog as a living artifact (groom tickets, maintain prioritization, keep bugs sequenced), facilitate sprint rituals with named decisions in Linear, own the full release process (pre-launch checklists, QA coordination, release notes, cross-org comms).
- Support operations — oversee a team of support contractors in Zendesk, set priorities/quality/coverage, keep intake & routing clean, translate support signals into structured Linear tickets, identify automation opportunities.
Ideal traits: heat-seeking missile for operational pain; thrives in the hairy middle and respects ambiguity; warm, collaborative, low ego; genuinely energized by operational craft; obsessive about detail.
Required: >2 years in a role demanding operational rigor across multiple stakeholders (TPM, integrations, customer-facing technical, sales ops, business analysis, or adjacent). Detailed fluency with how software gets built (clean Linear tickets, real QA, release notes). Scrappy, AI-fluent, people-centric.
