We are looking for a Software Engineer, Applications with 5+ years of experience to build out Dyna Robotics' deployment infrastructure from scratch. You'll be the bridge between our AI research team, hardware engineers, and field operations — turning messy, high-friction deployment realities into durable engineering systems. This is a high-ownership, 0-to-1 role where you'll design the observability tools, customer interfaces, and fleet monitoring systems that make every new robot deployment faster and more reliable than the last. If you're passionate about physical AI and want to work on robots that are actually deployed in the real world (not just demos), this is your opportunity.
What will you be doing?
Build deployment infrastructure from scratch — designing internal tools for site bring-up, fleet monitoring, remote diagnostics, and operational dashboards
Identify failure points at customer sites and build observability tools and systems to proactively detect and resolve issues remotely
Partner closely with the Operations and Field Deployment Engineering teams to turn manual workflows into scalable, reliable software
Build pipelines that route useful data and failure cases from deployed robots back to the research team, closing the loop between field reality and model improvement
Design and build customer-facing interfaces while also working across the full stack — from front-end tools to back-end data infrastructure to hardware integration
Dyna Robotics is at the forefront of revolutionizing robotic manipulation with cutting-edge foundation models. Founded in September 2024 by repeat founders who previously built and sold Kaper AI to Instacart, Dyna's mission is to empower businesses by automating repetitive, stationary tasks with affordable, intelligent robotic arms.
Dyna is one of the few robotics companies focused on real-world deployment over lab demos. Their robots are already deployed at customer sites across multiple industries, with a proprietary embodied AI foundation model that generalizes and self-improves across varied environments with commercial-grade performance. The company is currently focused on commercial customers — starting in hospitality and restaurant industries — with a long-term vision of solving physical AGI.
The company has raised $143.5M in funding (including a $120M Series A) from investors including NVentures, Samsung NEXT, Salesforce Ventures, First Round Capital, and CRV, giving them approximately 2.5 years of runway. They are currently building version two of their robot with whole-body control and mobile capabilities to complete entire workflows.
Culture: Dyna operates with a startup intensity and a casual, flexible approach to work. The team values low ego, knowledge sharing, and genuine passion for the physical AI space. They offer unlimited PTO and flexibility while maintaining a pace of roughly 55-hour work weeks. The company positions itself as a product-research company where all research is done with deployment in mind.
